It started with a simple observation: some of the most incredible content we've ever seen never got made. Not because the ideas weren't brilliant, or the creators weren't talented—but because the right people couldn't find each other.
We watched a YouTuber with a groundbreaking documentary concept spend six months searching for an editor who understood their vision. We saw a podcaster with a unique angle struggle to find a co-host who complemented their style. We witnessed photographers with stunning concepts unable to assemble the team they needed to bring their vision to life.
The Breaking Point
The moment we knew we had to build Conety came during a conversation with a Toronto-based creator. She had spent three months trying to find a video editor for her series. Three months of posting in Facebook groups, sliding into DMs, posting on Reddit, and reaching out through Instagram. Three months of conversations that went nowhere, of mismatched expectations, of wasted time.
"I have the vision," she told us. "I have the script. I have the footage. I just need someone who gets it. But finding that person feels impossible."
That's when we realized: the problem isn't that creators don't want to collaborate. The problem is that the tools for finding collaborators are fundamentally broken.
Why Existing Solutions Fall Short
Social media platforms are built for broadcasting, not collaboration. Generic forums are drowning in noise. Direct messages get lost in crowded inboxes. Word-of-mouth networks are limited to who you already know.
What creators need isn't another social network. They need a purpose-built platform where every interaction is intentional, every connection is meaningful, and every project gets the team it deserves.
Our Vision
We're building Conety because we believe collaboration multiplies creativity. When a YouTuber finds the perfect editor, when a podcaster connects with the ideal co-host, when a photographer assembles the right team—magic happens. Content gets made that couldn't exist otherwise.
Conety isn't just an app. It's a movement toward better collaboration, stronger communities, and content that changes the world. We're starting in Toronto, but our vision extends far beyond one city. We're building the infrastructure for a global creator economy where collaboration knows no boundaries.
What Makes Us Different
Every feature, every design decision, every line of code is crafted with one question in mind: "Does this make it easier for creators to find each other and build something amazing together?"
We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're laser-focused on solving one problem: making content creator collaboration effortless, meaningful, and accessible to everyone.
The future of creator collaboration starts here. Welcome to Conety.
